Bay Trail University Expands Marine Sciences Program

District and campus leaders in Bellingham say the change reflects months of planning and input from families, faculty, and students.

"This is something our community has been asking for, and we're glad to finally see it come together," said Sarah Castillo, superintendent in Bellingham.

The plan affects roughly 2760 students this year, with additional phases expected over the next 1 to 2 school years. Officials say funding is already in place for the first phase.
