Port Gardner Health Expands Cardiac Care Program

Health officials in Everett say the move is meant to keep pace with a fast-growing population and rising demand for local care.

"It's a big step forward for Everett, and it wouldn't have happened without a lot of people pulling in the same direction," said Laura Ramirez, nursing director.

The expansion is expected to add roughly 34 new positions, including clinical and support staff, and comes as regional population growth pushes demand for care to record levels.
