The update adds to a string of recent economic developments across Redmond, part of a broader trend reshaping local balance sheets this year.
"We've put a lot of work into getting this right, and people are already noticing the difference," said Maria Reyes, city finance director in Redmond.
Analysts point to Redmond's expanding workforce and comparatively steady cost of doing business relative to Seattle's core. The shift is expected to affect roughly 42 million dollars in local economic activity over the next two years, according to figures reviewed by the Evergreen Ledger.

Local officials say they will continue tracking the impact on jobs and tax revenue in the months ahead.
