Emerald City School District Breaks Ground on New STEM Wing

District and campus leaders in Seattle say the change reflects months of planning and input from families, faculty, and students.

"This is something our community has been asking for, and we're glad to finally see it come together," said Brian Silva, school principal in Seattle.

The plan affects roughly 2391 students this year, with additional phases expected over the next 1 to 2 school years. Officials say funding is already in place for the first phase.
