The update adds to a string of recent economic developments across Seattle, part of a broader trend reshaping local balance sheets this year.
"It's a big step forward for Seattle, and it wouldn't have happened without a lot of people pulling in the same direction," said Andrew Torres, city finance director.
Analysts point to Seattle's expanding workforce and comparatively steady cost of doing business relative to Seattle's core. The shift is expected to affect roughly 37 million dollars in local economic activity over the next two years, according to figures reviewed by the Evergreen Ledger.
